Abstract: Promoting sustainability practices in vocational schools is essential for preparing students to meet the challenges of a sustainable future and for instilling a sense of environmental responsibility. This study investigates effective strategies for integrating sustainability practices into vocational education. The objectives are: (1) to identify current sustainability practices in vocational schools, (2) to evaluate the impact of these practices on student awareness and behavior regarding sustainability, and (3) to propose strategies for enhancing sustainability education in vocational training. A survey research design is utilized, justified by the need to collect comprehensive data from educators, students, and school administrators on existing sustainability practices and their effectiveness. The sample size comprises 300 participants selected through purposive sampling to include key stakeholders from various vocational schools. The case study focuses on institutions in Ogun State, which have shown a commitment to integrating sustainability into their curricula. Findings indicated that current sustainability practices, such as recycling programs, energy conservation initiatives, and sustainability-themed projects, have positively influenced student awareness and behavior. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of incorporating sustainability into all aspects of vocational training to foster a holistic understanding of environmental stewardship. Recommendations include developing dedicated sustainability modules, establishing partnerships with organizations specializing in sustainability, and creating practical projects that allow students to apply sustainability concepts in real-world contexts.
